Seco South anchor rodes are manufactured from the highest quality nylon and G4 hi-test chain. We offer two different types of rodes. The most common anchor rode is the 3 stranded nylon which offers superior stretch and maximum strength. The other type is is known as 8 Plait nylon. This type of anchor rode offers several advantages over traditional 3 strand:

* Less storage space required]

* Lower pull-out force on the anchor

* Superior performance in power windlasses

Our 3 strand and 8 Plait nylon are hand spliced to G4 Hi-test chain specifically to run through power windlasses including Lewmar, Maxwell and Lofrans Please refer to the chart below for choosing the right size anchor rode.

Nylon Breaking Strengths

We recommend under normal sea conditions your anchor rode length should be atleast (4) times as long as the deepest water you are in.
